Meet Our Principals
Mr. Drew Bragg
Principal
Valley Point Middle School is a special place in the hearts of many, both past and present. I often come into contact with alumni throughout the various communities in Whitfield County, and I very much enjoy hearing their stories from, and memories of, VPMS. My mother, and several other family members, attended the Valley Point Schools, and they have expressed to me how much the schools mean to them. Although we are blessed to work and learn in a new, state-of-the-art building, we retain important pieces of all that have come before. As a product of Whitfield County Schools myself, I take immense pride in doing my part to support our teachers, students, and communities as we help to prepare our posterity for the challenges of the modern world. Our staff is dedicated to this cause, and we will continue striving to offer a safe and secure learning environment in which all of our students have the opportunity to achieve at high levels.
I decided early in my collegiate career that I wanted to serve as an educator. After initially studying business administration, I made the transition to education at the behest of my grandmother, and an inner desire to assist young people during what I knew could be challenging years for them. I obtained a Bachelor of Science in Education from The University of Georgia, followed by a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University. I earned an Educational Specialist’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Kennesaw State University.
My career in education began in the 2009-2010 school year, during which I served as a middle school teacher. After eight years in that role, I transitioned into building administration. My first administrative position was here at VPMS, where I served as the assistant principal for two years. I spent the following two years serving as an assistant principal at Coahulla Creek High School. Prior to last school year, I returned to VPMS as the school’s principal. I am pleased to be back at The Point, and am truly honored to serve as the principal of VPMS.
Please use our website and social media accounts to stay up to date with important information and events throughout the school year. We are excited about seeing all of our returning students, and getting to know our new students. In addition, it is important that you know we do not take your support for granted. We utilize a whole-child approach to supporting and educating our students, and we can only do this with the assistance of parents, guardians, and stakeholders. You are all valuable members of our learning community, and together we can work to strengthen our students’ educational, social, and emotional foundations.

Mrs. Lisleni Pace
Assistant Principal
Hello everyone! It is with great enthusiasm that I introduce myself to the Valley Point Community. My name is Lisleni Pace. I have been married for 21 years, and have three children, and seven grandchildren. I have lived in Dalton for the past 18 years, and consider this my home. I have over 28 years of teaching and administration experience. I have been fortunate to have taught all grade-levels in various capacities, although most of my teaching career has been at the elementary level. In the last seven years, I have undertaken the role of Assistant Principal at Eastbrook Middle School, Eastside Elementary School, and now at Valley Point Middle School. I consider myself a servant leader, and as such, my personal mission in education is supporting students' understanding of their rich, individual, and diverse backgrounds. I also promote enthusiasm for ALL student opportunities and growth, in an effort to support their academic and emotional goals. Please know that I am here to serve you and your families.
